Welcome to the Arkansas Water Well Construction Page

The Arkansas Water Well Construction Act was created by the Arkansas General Assembly in 1969 to protect the general health, safety, and welfare of Arkansans by regulating water well construction and pump installation. The Act and the  Rules crafted by the former Arkansas Water Well Construction Commission (now the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission) provide a framework for the proper development of underground water in an efficient, orderly, sanitary, reasonable, and safe manner.
