Farmers Market Bags
As an added offering at local Farmers Markets, the Department has designed reusable paper shopping bags for purchase by farmers markets or vendors at greatly reduced rates. The Department and Farm Credit are also partnering to provide Farmers Market Bags. This program enables farmers markets and/or vendors to provide convenient, high quality shopping bags for consumers. In 2021, the Department and Farm Credit provided more than 30,000 shopping bags to Arkansas farmers markets.
The Farmers Market Bags program is closed for 2021, but will be available for 2022. The Market Managers for Arkansas Grown Farmers Markets will be notified by email when bags are available in 2022. A minimum purchase of 250 bags is required.
The market manager will be contacted once payment is received. Markets are responsible for bag pick-up unless the market manager chooses to incur the cost of shipping.
