Clean Water and Drinking Water Intended Use Plan Comments

NOTICE OF PROPOSED FY 2022 INTENDED USE PLAN (IUP)

The Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (Commission) has prepared the Clean Water Revolving Loan Fund (CWRLF) and the Safe Drinking Water Fund (SDWF) Intended Use Plans (IUP) for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for State Fiscal Year 2022.

The CWRLF IUP covers the potential projects of public wastewater system construction and other eligible projects funded by the Arkansas CWRLF, a priority system and priority listing of projects for the coming State Fiscal Year.

The SDWF IUP covers the potential projects of public drinking water system construction and other eligible projects funded by the Arkansas SDWF, a priority system and priority listing of projects for the coming State Fiscal Year. Also, the EPA provides funds for the set-aside programs administered by the Arkansas Department of Health (Department) and the use of those funds are included in the SDWF IUP.

To ensure the public has an opportunity to review and provide input on the IUP, the draft IUP will be made available to the public through notification in a statewide newspaper and posting to the ANRC website. Click here to view draft IUP.

Written comments on the proposed document and any requests for a public hearing should be sent to ANRC by close of business September 10, 2021.  Instructions for written comments and requests for a public hearing will also be available on the ANRC website.

A public hearing on the proposed document will be held if ANRC receives such a request from at least ten (10) people, a governmental agency, political subdivision, or any entity eligible for funding. If a public hearing is held, a notice will be published in a statewide newspaper announcing the date, time and place of the hearing.
